Uhm, yes, it is different. Have you read any news at all? In terms of energy used, it seems to be on a whole different scale, corporations and states are panicking that it might double the overall electricity needs or more.
And in terms of how it works as a tool and affects the way we think, it’s not hard to argue that it presents entirely new threats, either. If you don’t believe me, talk to any teacher in literally any school.
