Hi all, I'm type-setting an old 19th century piano part that includes phrases such as the attached image, where the first note of a set of four quavers is drawn using a minim notepad (presumably indicating that the key should be held whilst playing the other notes). My first thought was that this should be possible in lilypond by just overriding the notehead shape but after more than an hour trawling through the manual and snippet repositories I couldn't work out how. Maybe I'm just using the wrong search terms? Advice greatly appreciated!
