Thank you Carl and Werner for providing an actual MWE ! I know it is not
exclusively related to \sectionLabel as this command did not exist back
when I first encountered this issue that keeps creeping every some (=
(random 20) 0) layout.

I did some very interesting reading of what [name some AI prompt] thinks of
pure and unpure in the context of the LilyPond layout strategies. Quite an
interesting read.
