I thought about using a chord exceptions file with \include, but it would have to include every permutation of tensions and extensions being used. It would sure be slick if it could be written like

c1:7.(5+.9-.11.13) to be rendered as C7(#5 13 b9)

Hello and happy holidays to all.

I'd like to know if it is possible to parenthesize the extensions of chords (tensions, like the ninth and sharp eleven) while dealing with ChordNames. I've tried searching for info and help from ChatGPT, but got no dice...

"Tensions" are not currently a semantic part of Chord Names for display, so there is not a way of saying, for example, "Print all.tensions in italic bold"

However, it is possible  to add chordExceptions for a particular combination of tensions, and that will affect the display of any chord containg that set of tensions.
