Please consider the below MWE.
Where there is a perfect unison across two voices on a note outside the key
signature, LilyPond engraves the natural sign twice, creating a bold
appearance.
This bold or “double-printed” accidental looks a bit strange to my eye. Is
it best engraving practice?
I don’t think Elaine Gould comments on this case in the “Accidentals”
chapter of Behind Bars.
