Thank you, Knute! That command did not return anything in Terminal. I tried this command instead as an experiment: > lilypond -dshow-available-fonts 2>&1 | grep -B2 Songti … and I got several results. The relevant one is > family Songti SC > Songti SC,宋體\-簡,宋体\-简:style=Light,細體,细体 … and then there are a number of results like the following: > -- > family Gill Sans > Gill Sans:style=Regular > family Songti SC > Songti SC,宋體\-簡,宋体\-简:style=Regular,標準體,常规体 > -- > family MT Extra > MT Extra:style=Regular > family Songti TC > Songti TC,宋體\-繁,宋体\-繁:style=Regular,標準體,常规体 > -- ***N.B. “Songti SC” [Simplified] versus “Songti TC” [Traditional]. I gather that “grep” is searching for the term “Chinese” in the name of a font family? Alas, I don’t think that any of the fonts that I see in Font Book has “Chinese” in its name.
