Thank you! I just tested the automatic download (LilyPond 2.24.4). Frescobaldi now can also use this version. There is no "lilypond/bin“ nor "lilypond-binaries“ in "Applications/Frescobaldi.app/Contents/Resources“, though. Maybe a macOs user can help?
The path is ~/Library/Application\ Support/Frescobaldi/frescobaldi/lilypond-binaries
