Hi Lukas,

HA! Just before posting, I thought of that myself, but figured (a) I had tried
enough incantations, and (b) knew that it wasn’t really going to solve my
problem [which you astutely recognize as voice-specific].
I give myself partial credit for knowing both of Bottom and its limitations. :)

Well, for many situations, this would be sufficient… but it sure would be nice
to be able to have one function that works for any context.
Is there not something like
\applyToContext Voice \hideNotes
??
Even defining
hideVoiceNotes = {
\hide Voice.Dots
\hide Voice.NoteHead
\hide Voice.NoteHead
\hide Voice.Stem
\hide Voice.Accidental
\hide Voice.Rest
\hide Voice.TabNoteHead
}
unHideVoiceNotes = {
\revert Voice.Accidental.transparent
\revert Voice.Stem.transparent
\revert Voice.NoteHead.transparent
\revert Voice.NoteHead.no-ledgers
\revert Voice.Dots.transparent
\revert Voice.Rest.transparent
\revert Voice.TabNoteHead.transparent
}
doesn’t work. :(
Thanks,
Kieren.
