Generally it is not good to add everything to main Lilypond — it leads to cluttered interfaces and becomes hard to maintain. But we do have some "extra" interfaces, such as `gregorian.ly` or `articulate.ly`. I could well see the magnetic snapper stuff to become something like this? This would mean that it is proper integrated into Lilypond workflow via regression tests, so the version shipped with Lilypond is guaranteed to work with this version of Lilypond. Cheers, Tina
