Shouldn't that note be placed on the upper staff? It's perfectly normal to have ledgers between the two piano staves. More often than not, the decision whether to put a note to the lower or the upper staff is made according to which hand is suggested to be used for that note (but that's not a firm rule either). True enough - but it looked a little awkward to me. Personally I'd have put the beam below the second group of six and the e on the upper staff, but maybe there was a musical reason to do it that way. Paul.
