The rounded ends are a deliberate choice for emulating hand-engraved scores made with pinches in metal plates. The rounded ends are a characteristic of engraving punches. And ledger lines are drawn by LilyPond, rather than generated by a font glyph. (see https://lilypond.org/doc/v2.26/Documentation/essay/music-fonts) It is always possible for you to find.the ledger.line code and change it, but I think there is no tweak for the roundedness for the lines. > > Carl >
