In 2.8:
\bar "||:" gives a double bar at the end of one line and a repeat
double bar at the beginning of the next.
If it doesn't work in 2.6.0 you may have to upgrade. I didn't find
which version this was introduced in. I don't think I was able to get
what you want before \bar "||:" was inroduced.
