Yes, there are several ways to enter it literally using a unicode
aware text editor.
But can I make a definition and expansion in lilypond?
E.g. (this doens't for for several reasons, but you get the idea)
apos = \lyricsmode {
... a real U+2019 symbol or some other way to specify it ...
}
text = \lyricsmode {
There{\apos}s a foobar ...
}
