For books there are several excellent ones:

Kent Kennan: "The Technique of Orchestration" (Prentice Hall)

and the great classic by Rimsky-Korsakoff,

as well as Berlioz, the already mentioned Koechlin, and others. You could take a look at zvab.com (second hand) if they are not available in town.
