Fred, Thanks so much for such a simple solution. Funny thing is, I didn't change the \score section *or* the \layout or the \midi section. I simply introduced some new notes and parts, when the midi quit working. But it works fine now, thank you very much. BTW, what errors were you getting when you compiled it? I get no errors on my system -- it compiles fine, although I now realise I've got a lot of note-reworking to do now ...
