I guess I was confused. I'm running X (XDarwin) on a PPC Mac with OS X 10.4.9. I thought I had run a previous Linux-PPC version on X (XDarwin) like OpenOffice runs. I just tried an earlier Linux-PPC version and got the same failure as I got with 11.21. I have no trouble running the "MacOS X (G3, G4, G5 Macs) 10.3 and newer" version of Lily.
