Oh, I never learn not to post comments late at night. The above really had nothing (afaics) to do with the problem.It should be fairly easy to add a "screen optimize" option that replaces the soft rectangles of lilypond with hard linestrokes, thereby removing the problem. The attached image is grabbed from Acroread after replacing the draw_round_box ps-procedure with a procedure that does a line-stroke. (yeah, I know the ledgers are missing, this is a quick hack)
Should I go on and try to make a patch that adds a screen-optimize-option? (main developers?)
