I have a situation like f8.[ \clef alto c'16]
where the alto clef and the extra beam on the 16th note overlap. I want to keep the beam, as I want my typeset score to reflect as much as possible the original 17th century manuscript from which I'm working. So what I want to do is to move the c'16 to the right a little bit. Alternatively, add some "hard space" (such as can be done in TeX/LaTeX). What is the best way of doing this? Thanks, Alasdair
