An alternative way, which keeps everything contained
in the dynamic script, is to pad the text so it comes
in the right place when centred, like this:

sempp = #(
  make-dynamic-script (
    markup #:line (
      #:normal-text
      #:italic "sempre"
      #:dynamic "pp"
      #:hspace 6
    )
  )
)
