Hehe, apparently, you have a great talent for trying exactly those things that 
are not (yet) implemented in musicxml2ly... Tremolo spanners are not yet 
implemented in musicxml2ly, because they are different from other spanners 
(like slur, crescendi, etc.) in that they need to be converted to a repeat, 
which is not a markup for the notes, but an enclosing expression....

BTW, the Overture that you sent me does not contain any tremolo spanners, only 
single note tremolos, which should be converted by musicxml2ly. However, the 
conversion result triggers lots of error messages in lilypond (which even 
segfaults on the file...), because Sibelius does not put any ending marks for 
beams into the .xml file, so none of the beams in the lilypond file are ended 
with a corresponding ]. I sent a mail to the musicxml mailinglist to clarify 
that point about the musicxml "specification". So, either Sibelius is wrong 
and produces wrong files, or we need to extend musicxml2ly to take this into 
account.
