Very cool. I recently reported the problem with GCC 4.3 on Intel 32 bit, and Joe Neeman investigated and fixed it. In fact, this problem came from Intel 387 bogus FPU, see http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=323 for details.
