Greetings Stefan, A month ago you reported this bug, that has been added as http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=640 May I ask why you needed to remove the Bar_engraver? Was it just out of curiosity or were you trying to typeset a "real" score? If you can provide us with a real-world example of a score that require this feature, I will keep the issue opened; otherwise Han-Wen proposes to close it.
