I gave up on the jEdit +LilypondTool as I have an OSX 10.3.9, and
ploughing through all the posts on here, it doesn't really seem to
work at all, & I just don't have time to spend on finding the bug
there... It also seems more important for those with a newer Mac
version who basically need to have jEdit/LilypondTool as an interface
to Lilypond.

I downloaded Smultron instead ; it looks a lot simpler and much less
complicated. It basically has the added bonus of numbered lines and
some coloration, but not much else (it seems), which does help save
time a little.

I've also read that there's something called Lilypond Mode in emacs,
but again, I was at a total loss in knowing how to install that
properly.
