1. Take a look at section 1.2.5.2 of the Notation Reference for
more. You may have to use a markup if you really want to print bar
number 1, which looks as if it never prints, wherever it appears
(try setting currentBarNumber to -1 at any point in the score).

That still doesn't print bar number 1. "…it will work for any \set
Score.currentBarNumber greater than 1" I thought the point was to
print bar 1.
