Nick,
there is a 'baseline-skip property of TextScript,
briefly described here:
http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.11/Documentation/user/lilypond-internals/text_002dinterface
Also, in your example, \tiny and \italic don't need
their own curly braces since you're already using
them for \column --- all three commands can use the
same single set of braces.
