I have found two problems with this method. 1) Any slurs and markings on the notes still print, just far above the staff. I solved this by making a dummy part with just notes and durations, using melismas to make extenders and hyphens work properly. 2) The note columns in the treble and bass clefs don't line up. I have tried to solve this by: - Changing the shiftOn level - Adding the dummy part to the bass cleff - Moving the parts around I know lyricsto with partcombine has been a problem for years, so I'm sure somebody has solved it by now.
