I must say that the "faster" thing is a typical United States behavior. Our markets and media constantly barrage us with "time" issues. The main point of sale is "if you buy our product you can get it done faster". The barrage has brought about an almost infantile attitude amongst US citizens. They want it fast and now! There is no other way. It has effected how we eat, think, commute, learn, and often make products (we really don't do that anymore). As a 50 year old composer, a guy that will take 3 months to write a saxophone concerto, I watch this whirlwind and frenzy every day- It is taking a toll on US citizens, the stress level is bizarre. It is incredible to watch these poor souls demanding more and more from each other, faster and faster, stronger and stronger... to finally get... somewhere? Eventually my grand children will look back on this era as truly infantile. I know that is such a harsh word, but that is how monopolies want their customers-- infantile and dependent for everything.
