Yes, good stuff, and I used it for a long time. Unfortunately, it
doesn't know anything about UTF-8, and therefore is unsuitable for
Lilypond files.
But I use it for them all the time ...
Still, I don't know very much about UTF-8 and pretty much only use the
standard ASCII character set.
