The \repeat volta N {} construct doesn't actually create a new bar.
So the second d-sharp is in the same bar as the first, so Lilypond
doesn't notate it.
As player, I find it easier if repeats start and end at bar
boundaries, so maybe:

\repeat volta 2 {
e2.
} \alternative {
