I don't know - it looks like it's a bug in the way LilyPond parses tremolos.
In 2.12 it throws an error message as follow:
warning: expect 2 elements for chord tremolo, found 3
\csl
\repeat tremolo 4 { f,,16 \csr f'}\csl \repeat tremolo 4 { f,16 \csr f'}|
