nope! it's because i merged it into one staff - if i merge it into one voice
it works:
voiceA = { \slurUp e'( d')}
voiceB = { \tieUp c'~ c' }
voiceC = { a ~ a }
\new Voice <<
\voiceA
\voiceB
\voiceC
