Since it said not for "<<\\>>" construct, and I am using << \\ >> construct is 
it mean that I need to modify my code not to use "<<\\>>" construct?

In particular, read the section beginning with “An expression that appears 
directly inside a << >> belongs to the main voice (but, note, not in a << \\ >> 
construct).”
