I'm 99% sure this isn't necessary. Don't forget that you can adjust the effective length of a note (even a hidden one) by using a multiplier (e.g., c4*0 or c4*2/3.). > is there any way of specifying the physical width of the hidden not that is > aligned with the first en-dash? Override the #'X-extent and/or #'extra-spacing width. Hope this helps!
