in the NR they write:

"Aligning to cadenzas
In an orchestral context, cadenzas present a special problem: when
constructing a score that
includes a measured cadenza or other solo passage, all other instruments
should skip just as
many notes as the length of the cadenza, otherwise they will start too soon
or too late."

maybe measured should be emphasized!

If the cadenza is measured there are no alignment problems. The above description seems inconsistent.

the command \cadenzaOn turns off timing and beaming and the music in that
part is not "measured" anymore.

as for the errors: maybe the wording is not that helpful, but they disappear
as soon as you have "full measures" in the "cadenza staff".

Agreed. What is the point of NR 1.2.6 and [mmrest|skip]-of-length at all?
