Is it possible to override so that grace music has no effect on spacing? For
example, the space between the time signature and the barline in should not
be compressed:

\numericTimeSignature
\time 4/4
s1
\grace s8
\time 3/4
s2.
\time 4/4
s1
}
I also want to remove the extra white space in:
\relative c' {
\numericTimeSignature
\time 4/4
c4 d e f
\grace s8
g4 f e d
c4 d e f
}
