This is to confirm, that the default behavior of 2.16.1-1 is indeed exactly
what I wanted.

And I'm quite  amazed that I got the first response to my question in 5
minutes and even a pointer the git commit(!) in 3 hours.
That's when I learned that the first response came directly from the
committer. Thanks, Marc!

Oh, and my next question was answered before it was asked: How can I get
back to the old behavior? Noeck wrote: "\tabFullNotation".

You can mark the issue as fixed. And the user as happy:)
