Without braces, you get this error:
syntax error, unexpected \repeat
\repeat volta 2 {
If you know LilyPond that can guide you in the right direction, but it
is not that obvious that you cannot have multiple musical expressions in
a score block or in other words, that a pair of braces is missing.
