You could move the tremolo beam upwards (or left) in the mean time:

\once\override Beam #'extra-offset = #'(-2 . 0) % move it left
\once\override Beam #'extra-offset = #'(0 . 3) % move it up
\repeat tremolo 16 { bes,32 aes' } |
