Dear lilypond-ers, I've just joined the list, and am gearing up to seriously use lilypond for the first time in a large ensemble piece. In the past years, I have been making my scores by hand, and recently in Illustrator, but now need to be able to make parts quickly, so am going to take the plunge into the lilypond : ) Thanks for all your work! I'm excited to dig in.
Question: I would like to notate bow position with bezier curves as "noteheads", where the noteheads mark the start and end points of the curve, and then ideally use some other parameter to control a handle on the curve. The idea being that if the line is attached the the notehead point that I could still take advantage of line break rules, etc. Any advice on how to implement this would be much appreciated! I have successfully made some customized noteheads using markups with \override NoteHead #'text = #(...markup...), but I'm unclear on how to draw lines or curves between notes (i.e. anchoring on the following note). I've also looked a little at the Scheme tutorial, and am starting to maybe see a way to iterate through the notheads and draw the curves this way using the notehead coordinates... but I'm still new to Scheme, so it's still not completely clear. many thanks again for your work and advice -- with cheers, rama _______________________________________________ lilypond-user mailing list [email protected] https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lilypond-user
