Well, that's the reason why I asked you (in the other thread) to
include the version.
\omit is 2.17.x (don't know exactly)
With 2.16.2 use:
\new Staff \with { \override TimeSignature #'stencil = ##f } \OboePart
With 2.17.17 use:
\new Staff \with { \omit TimeSignature } \OboePart
