I think your nesting of lyrics in the same (Lyric) context is the culprit;
maybe it's clearer to use a construct like
\new Lyrics = X \lyricsto "part one" \lyricI
\context Lyrics = X \lyricsto "part two" \lyricIII
where there is no nesting
