Thanks. I had used a zero with a vertical bar through it back in school. Hm, a choice then: - Zero: Use a (perhaps dubious) time signature hack, and get perfect positioning. - Cross: Figure out how to finagle a markup to go exactly in the middle two staff spaces and take up just the right amount of space. The zero sounds easier. hjh
