Maybe I'm not understanding the suggestion--do you mean a unicode symbol for flat, and it is just coming through the list as a question mark? Because as it is presented in this email, as a question mark, I would have to ask how does this work with using cautionary accidentals? Cautionary accidentals already make use of the question mark symbol. Here is the normal use: g g g ef | g g g e? | df df df eff How would this work in your syntax? g g g e? | g g g e?? | df df df e??
