PDF can be converted back to PS easily.

Well, it would be a good solution. However, we need a PDF creation
library, I guess...
I assume such a step would also make it easier afterwards to add
specific information to the output files. Like PDF layers (OCG (Optional
Content Groups)), tooltip comments or whatever.
