The first example (test.c) has both memory access errors and memory leaks.
I don't know if this was intentional or not, but I think it can be a good
example  for demonstrating valgrind.

On Windows, you can use NuMega's (now CopuWare) BoundsChecker. It's an
excellent product IMO. But indeed, the problem is that it is not cheap at
all.
