Orr, you should learn to recognize spam ;) I got this crap to virtually
every *.il address I have. Obviously ptp-ol.com is on my blacklist, so
it got right to the appropriate folder.
He didn't intend to spam this to the haifux list, but now that you made
him aware, he'll keep this address forever - he can spam 30 people for
the price of one :)

If you want to stop spam on this list (it's not the first time this is
happening...) just forbid posting from people not on the list. Most
lists are doing that, and the current generation of spammers (that don't
focus on mailing-lists deliberately, except for culling addresses) get
stopped.

Unfortunately the amount of Israeli spam is rising, and none of the Israeli
ISPs seem to be doing *anything* about this, even when a complaint is made.
This spammer, for example, has been spamming non-stop for the last 48 hours,
and nobody is stopping him. And this is just an example...

By the way, you should do more research before you complain... Take a
look at this:
$ whois [EMAIL PROTECTED]
...
 Administrative Contact:
    MOR, EDI  [EMAIL PROTECTED]
...

So you're complaining to the spammer himself!!

Instead, you might want to complain to the company hosting him:
$ host www.ptp-ol.com
www.ptp-ol.com has address 208.165.80.236
$ whois [EMAIL PROTECTED]
...
Cable & Wireless USA (NETBLK-CW-10BLK) CW-10BLK  208.128.0.0 - 208.175.255.255
DIGIHOST (NETBLK-CW-208-165-80-A) CW-208-165-80-A 208.165.80.0 - 208.165.87.255
$ whois [EMAIL PROTECTED]
DIGIHOST (NETBLK-CW-208-165-80-A)
...
      Pella, Mike  (MP317-ARIN)  [EMAIL PROTECTED]
$ whois [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[whois.abuse.net]
[EMAIL PROTECTED] (for digihost.com)
$ whois [EMAIL PROTECTED]
...
      Cable & Wireless US (IA3-ORG-ARIN) [EMAIL PROTECTED]
$ whois [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED] (for cw.net)

So you should complain to: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED],
[EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED]

But complain to them only about hosting a spamvertised site - they are not
the origin of the spam!! The origin of the spam is bezeqint:

Received: from m1.bezeqint.net (m1.bezeqint.net [192.115.106.45])
Received: from sergey (bzq-164-30.dsl.bezeqint.net [62.219.164.30])
        by m1.bezeqint.net (Mirapoint Messaging Server MOS 3.1.0.58-GA)
        with ESMTP id AAQ99528 (AUTH sprinternet2-r);
        Mon, 24 Jun 2002 17:50:42 +0300 (IDT)

So the spammer is whoever was on 62.219.164.30 on Mon, 24 Jun 2002 17:50:42.
Bezeqint know *exactly* who it is, but they will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to
stop him, judging from past experience. Even the infamous orbs.dorkslayers.com
declared bezeqint honorary "dorks" and blacklisted them for good...
