As you have surely noticed, our site's URL became significantly shorter
and easier to remember.
I bought haifux.org for the club, and it was about 170 NIS ($35) for one
year.
I did it at Yahoo! domains, which is not the cheapest option. I might
have made another choice if the issue had been brought to wide
discussion, but with the previous experience of wide discussions about
the site's looks, I went for doing something suboptimal according to my
own best understanding (which probably isn't best...).
I shall indeed make a more educated choice when the domain will need to
be renewed.
Anyhow, since the domain is the club's and not mine (aside from the
technical registration), I'm going to bring a small donation box to
tomorrow's meeting. Those of you who will feel like putting 10-15 NIS in
it, will be more than welcomed.
I'm perfectly OK with the possibility that the cost will not be covered.
On the other hand, if there will be more than the spent amount in the
box, you should expect some snacks on our next meeting.
