In the installation lecture, you only mentioned tools such as partition magic. I personnaly recommend using defrag under windoze(with swap disabled) and then cutting the partition through the installation. This sometimes gets less good results than PQMagic but it is much safer. in the past we insisted pepole defrag their HD before coming to insta-party, I think this is was an excellent idea.
