i met alon today to go over the gtk+ editor building demo, and after he
saw what's there, he suggested i write something that is less 'technical'
(i.e. contains more GUI editing then C code writing), and the thing that
seems to be done now is writing a small program that allows converting
between celsius and fahrenheit, and vice versa, while the user types the
code. this seems to more easily fit in 10 minutes, and will not bore the
audiance like typing lots of code.

orna - please take a note about this. you can just introduce it as "and
now guy will demonstrate building a small GUI on linux" - and i'll explain
exactly what the program needs to do.

if i'll have some spare time, i intend to use it to 'sell' the development
tools lecture, and repeat what i said last year - linux now gets into many
places, and even if you think the company you'll work for will writing in
windows exclusively, you might be caught by surprise when they start
making a port to linux - so why not at least get to "know the enemy" in
advance now, so you'll have easier time if/when it hits you, and some
advantage over people who did not take this step.
