If anyone is looking for an interesting study in anthoropology, try
researching the mutation of jokes and chain letters :) For example, that
joke is based on the 14 year old joke a copy of which you can find in
http://www.netfunny.com/rhf/jokes/old90/18951.html (or one of its dozen
variants that are floating around).

In particular, it's interesting how Jimmy Hoffa mutated into Elvis (I
guess nobody remembers who Hoffa was any more...), even though Elvis
isn't exactly missing...
